Stage One’s Mission

Our approach to training and educating our students is structured and personal. We train our dancers in classical technique and create performers with style and confidence.

Whether you are looking at dance as a recreation or would like to pursue as a profession, the faculty at Stage One can assist in making your dance dreams come true. Our discipline, warmth and passion for dance is inspiring for dancers of all ages.

Each class is personalized to the dancers who are in them. Our goal is for each student to achieve their personal best.  Each dancer’s personality and strengths are used to create a class of strong dancers and confident people.

What type of classes do you offer?

Stage One offers classes in ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and musical theatre for ages 2-adult.

How long does the dance season run?

The full season runs August-April. We conclude the season with recital at The Cookeville Performing Arts Center. Shorter sessions are available for students who are not ready for the full season commitment.

What is the Focus program and is it right for me?

The Focus program is an exclusive ballet, pointe, and lyrical program for students who desire more intensive training. These students participate in multiple performances, including an annual full-length ballet. Once a week, lower commitment options are also available in te studio division..

How do I know if my preschooler is ready for dance?

Our goal is for every dancer of every age to be comfortable and to love their time class time. All classes are designed to be age and developmentally appropriate. If your dancer is timid, talk with us and we can assist with the transition!
